A Proud Peacock

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted my “daily” bird portrait. I found my peacock a little more challenging than the other birds…  Maybe I just prefer to do smaller birds? Regardless, it’s been a great learning experience trying to capture the colours and texture of the bird’s irridescent turquoise feathers. I never did do the peacock on glass (my play on pheasant under glass), although that might be an idea for another series!  My small birds are waiting to be placed in 1 3/4 inch wide wood  frames, painted in an off-white colour. You can view the whole collection on my website under “Available Work”. Thanks for visiting, and for your kind comments!
